Dearest Bloggers,

I am always trying to find ways to make good comfort foods healthier and guilt-free. My aunt gave me this recipe off of her oatmeal bag! With this oatmeal cookie recipe I used half the amount of butter, half the amount of sugar. Added flax seed, raisins, crushed walnuts. I coated the cookies with a thin thin layer of warmed hoeny before i put it in the oven to add a little bit of the sweetness back since i didnt put in much sugar. I also used cracked oats and rolled oats so it would be softer. The flax seed gives it a buttery nut flavor and its really good for you!

Enjoy :)

Just wanted to fill you guys in on the pilot shoot. I shot two days this past weekend. 1st day was from 7pm-3am. then the next day was 9am to 4.30pm. Lots of shooting, but it was SO fun. So When i got on set, i got my makeup and hair done, then we went through blocking which is the director and actors finding out what movements we will be doing so the camera can follow. then a run through with lines ( going over our lines) then rehearsal,Doing everything like it was being filmed. Then came filming! I did a lot of homework on the script and felt really comfortable with it so filming was just super natural and a lot of things just came up while performing ( 3rd level of justification) which is the best for an actor. By 6pm on sunday I was falling asleep in bed haha. Next weekend we will be shooting as well.

Here are some pictures of the shoot.

the bloody one was makeup for the car crash scene. and the two other girls were playing my best friends.

cheers!

I've been baking a lot lately and I figured i'd take some pictures and share with you guys!

Here is a recipe I found online. I was looking for a low-fat low-cal blueberry scone recipe. It's really good! Next time I will use yogurt instead of milk and whole wheat flour instead of white.

Over summer break I went to Maine and ate a lot of delicious Lobster. mm I could go for a lobster roll right about now...

Hello blog readers,

I havent been on this in a while. A lot of new stuff has been happening. I got an commercial/theatrical agent Called The Daily Talent. I have been going on a ton of auditions, this coming wednesday I actually have an audition for the Soap Opera Days of Our Lives haha. It would be awesome to start out that way, even if only grandmothers and people in hospitals watch it ;-)

I also have been going to the acting school called Stella Adler. It is by far the most amazing school i have ever been to. It is like one big working multi ethnic family! All of my teachers have been so friendly and kind and helpful and i have learned so much in a short amount of time.

I am still living with kevo. It is so nice living with your boyfriend. We both have such busy days that when we come home we just lay in bed for 20 minutes and talk about our day. Its our ritual :)

Right now we are makingbake half chicken with some yummy seasonings on it and corn and quinoa salad. Once that's out of the oven we will be putting in banana walnut bread!

In my acting class our teacher has given us some pretty cool exercises. For example, try not to use the word "um" "uh" "ah" when speaking. It is just a meaningless word that people use when they are thinking. But when you pause, it is so much more enticing and interesting!

Another is to shower in pitch black or blindfolded. and see how it mkaes you feel. When I did it i noticed that I felt very vulnerable. My body went from my normal shoulders back head level position to bent over. That is an action from the feeling I got. My hearing also got more sensitive because my sense of sight was gone. It may seem uninteresting to some of you so don't mind my ramblings! I just find it very cool :)

cheers xo

Helloo!!!!

I havent written in a while, once again. A lot has happened in such a short amount of time. I am now attending The Stella Adler school which is, in my opinion, one of the best acting schools there is. She studied with the god of modern acting, Constantin Stanislavski. The only American to study under him. She then created her own method and technique of acting and opened up her own school in 1949 in Hollywood,California.

Also, just yesterday I finally got signed with a commercial/theatrical Agent! I am so excited! I now have a modeling agent, a commercial/theatrical agent and hopefully soon a manager !

Everything feels like it is slowly coming together.

Holy Crap! Did you guys see the new video for Photoshop CS5 ?!!? Insane! A lot of tools that make life much much easier. Is this bad though for professional retouchers and photographers like ourselves? now, with a little training, a 10 year old can do this!

Love/Hate relationship for me!

Hello Friends,

Once again, i am been a busy little bee. Going to audition after audition. Yesterday I had an audition for a music video for Trey Smoov. Today I have one for a feature film trailer and I will get IMDB credit if i get it which is freakin awesome. So I pretty much just have to keep doing this and keep making connections until i go somewhere. My goal is to do as many films as possible and create an acting reel, end to agents and see where it goes from there. YAY

So... A LOT has changed in the past two weeks. It's like my life has completely flipped over. It's a scary feeling and it's an amazing feeling. In the past 5 days I have been on numerous amounts of casting calls. Just today I tried out to be the lead actress in a really cool Hollywood student film. I was an extra in a Feature film, met two producers and casting agents that loved me ( crazy i know) and said to keep in touch and they'll let me know what upcoming projects they have in store for me. In just modeling alone I've made $1,000 in pretty much a week. it's all insane. I took the session off from Brooks so i could focus on my acting and modeling to see what i wanted to do with it and its only the first week and sparks are flying. It feels like i held my breath for so long and all of a sudden I let it out. I did an improv audition and it was SO fun. I walked out of the audition room happier than ever, not even thinking if ill get the role or not. My goal is by this time next year to land a major role in an indie film or a supporting role in a blockbuster film. ( I think i can i thank i can!!)
As for Brooks, everything is still in the air. I love school and I love the people there, so many amazing creative unique people, but acting... it makes me feel more alive than ever. So.. We'll see!

Hey guys! Haven't posted in a while sorry! I was in the 311 class aka super busy freaking photo class! It is break now and I am at my Aunts house in San Clemente. It's my favorite place to be =) My favorite little cousin Hannah is here and she is so adorable. and my aunt and uncle are the coolest ever.
I woke up this morning to a super loud siren going off. Turns out it was a Tsunami warning! For those who don't watch the news or know of this.. There was a HUGE earthquake in Chile Early this morning. It was an 8.8. It was 500 times worse than Haiti. And from that, there is an Tsunami warning all of the pacfic coast. From Mexico to California all the way to Alaska! So Crazy. I think the Earth is mad at all haha. So, my heart goes out to all those who were affected by this. As for you californians like me, the Tsunami is going to hit around 1pm today( feb 27th) but its only going to be around 2-4 feet more of waves than usual. So definitely nothing to be worried about.

12.15am on valentines day.

The day is coming to a close, and i can already feel my eyes shutting! Today was super fun. As said in my previous post, i went to the movies A LOT today. I went to see Valentines day at 10am, then Percy Jackson, the lighting theif at 2.20pm. and then Wolf Man at 9.20pm ! So here are my critiques:

Valentines day- Cute. Realistic. Definitely nothing too hollywood. A good cast, but it wasn't something to die for. I would give it like 5.5 stars

Percy Jackson- Loved it! It was of course, my kind of movie. Action, suspense, a tad bit of romance, and a fun(kid)- packed movie. I'd give it a 7.5.

Wolf man- Okay. So kevin absolutely loved it. it was super gory. Benico Del Toro did a wonderful job. BUT it was so freaking gory that I pretty much closed my eyes fr the most part. For example: a man was run over my a cart and his spin was made into a V shape and you could hear every crack. Another example: the Werewolf's nails tearing apart faces and cutting necks open. So if you're into that ( in which case kevin must be) then its you're kinda movie! For acting, scenes, make-up, plot and so forth i'd give it an 7.5-8. but for my liking..lets just say i'd never see it again haha

Also! Kevin and I went to an awesome little Tapas bar where we got WAYY too much food.

Some of the food we ordered:

-Steamed mussels in a white wine garlic broth
- dates stuffed with almonds and bleu cheese wrapped in bacon
-speck and toast ( proscuitto wrapped garlic with a tomato-like paste on top of toasty cracker)
- Sauteed mushrooms with roasted hazelnuts
-Patatas bravas ( Crisp potato pieces fried with paprika, dipping sauce aioli)
-Risotto with fresh parsley, saffron, and Parmesan cheese.

SO GOOD. the Place is called Cobras Y Matadors. The food is awesome. Our bill was $83.00 total which isn't too bad considering all the food we got. It was a little too LA for me, since i'm used to wooden taverns in spain with loud spanish dancers, but all in all it was a great place to go for tapas and a great day!

So, in 311 it's food week, AKA shot awesome pretty food. I came down to stay with my boyfriend kevin for the weekend, and i know this amazing bakery right down the street from him, so it was perfect! I slept in, which was amazing, and then walked to the bakery to get an iced vanilla latte, cream cheese puff pastry ( so good it should be illegal) and a fruit cream tart in a chocolate heart. I have no lighting equipment whatsoever, but kevin has beautiful window light in his rom about 1pm. So i set up the cute little tart thing on a black reflective plate and started shooting with my 100mm macro lens. I really like how the came out! Super simple but nice ( in my opinion).

So let me know what you think and which one you like better!!

ps. the color might be a little off, but will be fixed!

It's another rainy day in Santa Barbara. A day where I want to lay on the couch all day and read next to a fire or watch House reruns.Sitting with a cup of real hot chocolate and the boyfran. That would be nice. This morning I was stuck in traffic from LA to SB (stayed at kevins) and then had class. Now im sitting in the computer lab printing for a portfolio.

I'm excited for Valentines day =) Kevin and I are going to have a lovely day together. We are going to sleep in ( which is the best gift in itself) make breakfast, and go to the movies all day! Then once we are hungry we will go out to eat somewhere awesome in LA.

YAY! I'm thinking this place called Bangcok West Thai.. any suggestions?
